The iPhone 16 lineup is available in two sizes: 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. The larger model, measuring 6.7 inches, is named the “iPhone 16 Plus.” These new iPhones showcase flat edges, a sturdy aerospace-grade aluminum frame, and a glass back that supports wireless charging. Apple has equipped the iPhone 16 models with the same A18 chip found in the iPhone 13 Pro, but with an enhanced internal design for improved thermal efficiency. The A18 chip features a Hexa-core CPU, a 5-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. Additionally, the iPhone 16 models are equipped with a dual-core accelerometer capable of measuring up to 256Gs. This accelerometer, along with a high dynamic range gyroscope, enables the Crash Detection feature, which can alert emergency services if you’re involved in a serious accident and unable to access your phone. Apple also incorporates various sensors for this feature, including a barometer to monitor cabin pressure changes, GPS to track speed variations, and a microphone to detect sounds associated with car crashes.
