Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Pro
The Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Pro features an 8-inch display with 1,280×800 pixels resolution. The tablet comes powered by a 2.0 GHz quad-core chipset. It has a microSD card slot that allows storage expansion of up to 1TB.
The tablet is touted to deliver up to 12 hours of battery backup. Amazon claims battery life based on moderate usage, including using the tablet for regular browsing, listening to songs, watching videos, gaming, and more. For intense users, the battery backup may not be as long as 12 hours.
The Fire HD 8 Kids Pro has a 2MP camera on the rear and a 2MP selfie snapper on the front. Amazon has included a USB-C (2.0) for charging and a microSD card slot for external storage. The tablet supports connectivity options such as dual-band WiFi, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and speakers.
Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Pro also includes an Amazon Kids+ subscription that offers educational content curated from National Geographic, Rabbids Coding, LEGO, and more. The titles included in the subscription are handpicked, keeping the young audience in mind. It also has a collection of over 20,000 books, Audible books, movies, TV shows, songs, apps, and games. All the content appropriate for the kids between the age of 6 and 12.
With Fire HD 8 Kid Pro, the kids get access to Netflix, Minecraft, and even the Zoom video calling app. Of course, their access depends on the permission granted by parents. Also, many of the apps are paid and need purchase approval from parents.
