How does it work?

AirTag sends a secure Bluetooth signal that nearby devices in the Find My network can detect. These devices securely share the location information with iCloud, allowing you to view your AirTag position inside the Find My app.

The entire process is designed with privacy and efficiency in mind. Location information is anonymous and encrypted, while AirTag avoids unnecessary battery drain and does not require additional data usage from your device.
